- MELINDA A. JAFFE, 47, of West Trenton, whose parents live in LONG BRANCH, died Wednesday, June 20, at Fox Chase Hospital, Philadelphia. She was born in Rockaway Beach, N.Y. She was a devoted mother to her son{, Tyler}. She was a sister to the late Ralph A. Hasner Jr., and was predeceased by her father-in-law, Emanuel Jaffe. She is survived by her husband{, Scott Jaffe, head pharmacist at Shop Rite of Ewing}; a son{, Tyler R. Jaffe of West Trenton}; her parents{, Ralph A. and Theresa C. Ash Hasner of Long Branch}; a brother and sister-in-law{, Jimmy and Rose Hasner of Howell}; a sister and brother-in-law{, Tina and Alan Chester of Wayside}; three nephews{, Aaron, Danny and Jared Chester}; her mother-in-law{, Doris Jaffe}; a brother-in-law{, Robin and his wife Evie}; a sister-in-law{, Allyson Bossbaly}; and a niece{, Rachel Bossbaly}. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Ewing Cemetery Chapel, 78 Scotch Road, Ewing{, with the Rev. William McQuoid officiating}. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111, or the Lewis School, 53 Bayard Lane, Princeton, NJ 08540. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington.
