  Notes	Tora was the daughter of Skofte Agmundson of Giske, Sunnmore and Gudrun Tordsdtr. Gudrun was a daughter of King Olav Haroldson's Prime minister- Tord Foleson. Tora's great-grandparents were Tordberg Arneson of Giske and Ragnihild Erlingsdtr; daughter of Erling Skalgson of Sole, Jaern and Astrid sister of King Olav Tryggvason. Astrid was the great-grand daughter of King Harold Harfagre. It appears that King Olav Tryggvason had considerable opposition in west Norway to establishing the Christian religion and to avoid a major battle worked out a compromise with the opposition leader by marrying his sister to him.
