- Age 64, of New Brighton, passed away on November 9, 2011 Long time Hennepin County Senior Social Worker. Peggy was a person of integrity, creativity, commitment and warmth. She simply never lost her desire to mold and shape services for clients in a way that worked for them. She continued to search for better alternatives and solutions to challenging cases up until the day she retired in 2005. Peggy possessed an uplifting spirit and a smile that wrapped its arms around everyone who experienced it. She created a sense of community among the staff in her area. Simply stated, she cared about everyone and everything. She is preceded in death by father, Leonard Harkness and nephew, Chad Strecker. She will be deeply missed by her husband{, Roger}; daughter{, Heather Roach}; grandchildren{, Angie and Will}; mother{, Maxine Harkness}; siblings{, Marsha Milani, Tom Harkness, Dodie Woodis, Sara Jane Strecker}; many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. Memorial Gathering Sunday, Nov. 20, from 3pm-6pm, in the Shoreview Room at the Shoreview Community Center, 4580 Victoria St. N., just north of Hwy 96. Private interment.
