- Kenneth Girdner Harper, 82, long-time resident of Plant City, Florida, and formerly of Two Buttes, Colorado, was born January 15, 1926 in Webb, Colorado to Ralph Eugene and Dottie Mearl Harper. He departed this life April 24, 2008, at University Community Hospital in Tampa, Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and brothers Wilbur, Walter, and George.
Survivors include his daughter{ Karen Harper of Plant City, FL}; four sons{, Rodger of Pueblo, CO, Donald of Owasso, OK, Rex Harper of Lamar, CO and Gary Harper of Pueblo West, CO}; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers{, Vernon Harper of Syracuse, KS and Ralph Harper, Jr. of Denver, CO}; sister{, Mary Lou Weldon, Denver, CO}, numerous nieces and nephews and other family & many friends.
Kenneth farmed and ranched in the Southeast Colorado area for many years. After moving to Florida he was a cattle order buyer and then opened a wholesale plant nursery, which he fully enjoyed until his retirement.
Mr. Harper requested cremation and that no services be held. Arrangements were handled by Florida Mortuary in Tampa, Florida. [3]
