- Jack Chambers Tooke, 75, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1993, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. The son of the late Roy and Carolyn Chambers Tooke, he was born May 1, 1918, in Montgomery, N.Y. A 1936 graduate of Butler High School, he received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Carnegie Tech in 1941. He joined Blawnox Chemical Plants Division, which later was purchased by Dravo, and retired as manager of construction on Feb. 1, 1980. Mr. Tooke was a member of City Farmers Club of Pittsburgh, Butler Country Club and First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown. A verteran of World War II, Tooke served in the Army Coast Artillery Division from 1943 to 1946. Survivors include his wife Lucille Cleveland Tooke; three daughters{, Anne Tooke and April Langevin, both of Silver Springs Md and Lynne Holt of Greene, N.Y.}; one brother, Thomas Tooke of Kirkwood, Mo,; and one grandson. Private burial will be at North Cemetery, Butler.
