- Iris Norma ARNOTE was born on 12 Sep 1895 in Mercer Co., Missouri. Parents: Joseph Allen ARNOTE and Catherine Eveline NEILL. Spouse: Claude Harold VANDERPOOL. Claude Harold VANDERPOOL and Iris Norma ARNOTE were married on 21 Oct 1915. Children were: Harold Dale VANDERPOOL, Wendal Arnote VANDERPOOL, Neill M. VANDERPOOL, Thomas Alan VANDERPOOL, Kathryn Belle VANDERPOOL.
Joseph Alien Amote and Cathrine E. Neill's youngest child and a daughter. Iris Norma . was born in Mercer County, Missouri. She grew up on the Arnote farm three miles north of Modena and attended the Walters School which was located on the Amote farm. She completed her schooling a Kirksville Normal in Kirksville, Missouri. Her father, Joe, was one of the earliest to own an automobile in Mercer County. On August 21, 1915, Iris was married to Claude Harold Vanderpool . In early married life they farmed property located a half mile west of the Joe Arnote Farmhouse. Claude was a building craftsman, having been in the building trade since his mid-teens.
In 1922 they left the farm so Claude could resume his building trade. While Iris was managing the household and Claude was engaged in home-building and building fine furniture, they reared their family of
