    • Don M. Haney, 83, of Heritage Road, Limestone, died Thursday evening at his home. Mr. Haney was a retired dairy and tobacco farmer. He was the oldest charter member of Greenwood United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday school teacher as long as his health permitted. Mr. Haney was active in the Republican Party and served as chairman of the Chuckey Precinct for a number of years. He was a member of Limestone Lodge No. 262, F& AM, and the Limestone Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, where he had served as Worthy Patron. Mr. Haney had been a member of Farm Credit Association for more than 50 years. Survivors include his wife of 59 years{: Juanita "Edith" Massey}; a son{: Edwin Haney of the home}; a daughter and son in law{: Regina and Gary Nuckols of Chuckey}; two granddaughters{: April Nuckols and Amanda Nuckols}; two great-grandchildren{: Nevaeh Nuckols, whom he called his "Baby Doll," and Bo Edward Tyree}; his brothers-in-law{: Earnest Jennings of Kingsport and Riley Huff of Greeneville}; his sisters-in-law{: Elizabeth Massey and Lola Jaynes, both of Greeneville}; several nieces and nephews; his special friends: Mike and Connie Gill; and a special friend of the family: Jacob Hopson. He was a son of the late Carl and Bertha Jones Haney and was preceded in death by a brother: Fred Haney, and five sisters: Mary Burger, Georgia Burger, Irene Jones, Gertrude Hurt, and Emiline Jennings. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation at 8 o'clock in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Mack Houston, the Rev. Ricky Clowers and the Rev. Brandon Berg will officiate. A committal service will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon in GraceLand Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 at the funeral home to travel in procession to the cemetery.{ Pallbearers will be Tim Massey, Hank Huff, David Burger, Scott Thompson, Larry Haney, James Adkins, Buddy Massey, and Pat Crum. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Mercer, James Cannon, Joe Deyton, Buck Hensley, Billy Burger, Ronnie Sartain, Alan Broyles, Bobby Broyles, Russell Kinser, Dan Walker, Steve Burns, the employees of the Greene County Courthouse Annex, the staffs of Laughlin Home Health and Medical Center Hospice, his special nurse: Cindy Collins; his special doctors: Dr. Maynard Austin and his nurse, Teresa Douthat, and Dr. Dharmen Patel.}  [2]
