  Notes	Calvin Earnest Broyles , 83, of Wooded Heights, Greeneville, died Saturday at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, surrounded by his family Mr. Broyles was a member of Ashway Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served as a deacon and Sunday school superintendent for a number of years. "He loved going to church and serving his Lord. The Lord came first in his life. He will be missed by all who knew him," his family stated. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 62 years: Zella Broyles; his "beloved" daughter: Patricia Ann Broyles; one sister and brother-in-law: Betty Helen and Fred White of Morristown; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Eddie and Callie Broyles, Jim and Wanda Broyles, and Richard Lee and Joyce Broyles, all of Greeneville; a brother-in-law: Richard Paxton of Norfolk, Va.; three sisters-in-law and their husbands: Judy and Odene Davis, Audrey and J.W. Huff, and Naomi Cutshaw, all of Greeneville; a brother-in-law and his wife: Verlo and Aileen Cutshaw of Winchester, Va.; and several nieces and nephews. He was a son of the late Earnest and Ruth Broyles and was preceded in death by two brothers: Norman Broyles and Kenneth Broyles; and two sisters: Ann Hartman and Arnita Paxton. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Dean Brewster, the Rev. Jim Bunch, and the Rev. Bob Brown will officiate. Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Greeneville-Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service. Pallbearers will be Timothy Cutshaw, Rodney Davis, Terry Huff, Mike Finkle, Randall Cutshaw, Alan Cutshaw and Terry Broyles. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Elliott Smith, Dr. George Vinsant, and the fourth floor nursing staff at Laughlin Memorial Hospital. [2]
