    • Funeral services for Mrs. Raymond "Lavina" Saienga were held Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo with the Rev. Clifford Wittstruck officiating. Mrs. Saienga died Sunday, January 6, at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 37 after a lingering illness. Neal Dodd, Leo Dodd, George Hanson, Glen Hanson, Herbert Kruse and Marry Morland were the pallbearers. Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Lavina Hasner Saienga was born June 8, 1936 at Watertown, SD to Fred and Edith Hasner. On July 14, 1956 she was united in marriage to Alden Hanson at Canby. He was killed in an auto accident in May of 1961. On August 7, 1964 she was united in marriage to Raymond Saienga at Clarkfield. She was a member of the Rosewood WSCS, a Sunday School teacher, 4-H adult leader and a member of the harmony Homemakers club. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Saienga; six children, Mrs. Jim Holen (Marlene Saienga) of Litchfield, Cindy Hanson, Vicky Hanson, Scott Hanson, Danny Hanson and Connie Saienga; four brothers, Dean Hasner of Canby, Howard Hasner of Watertown, SD, Clayton Hasner of Minneota and Ralph Hasner of Long Branch, New Jersey; five sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Dorothy) Reed of Rapid City, SD, Mrs. Harvey (Freda) Kranz, Clark, SD, Mrs. Tony (Delores) Desisto of Waterbury, Conn., Mrs. Darrell (Audrey) Kirschbaum of Granite Falls and Mrs. Harlan (Shirley) Markegard of Canby. Anderson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. [3]
