- Lloyd J. Humble, 93, of Rushford, Minn. died on Wednesday at Gundersen - Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse.
Mr. Humble was born on May 10, 1915, in Norway Township, Fillmore County, to Adolph and Marie Humble. He was raised south of Rushford. He attended country school and Rushford High School.
On Sept. 5, 1937, he married Vivian Johnson in Highland.
Mr. Humble worked in the poultry business for a while and later established a Shell Oil distributorship in Rushford which he operated for many years.
His interests included trout fishing, deer and coon hunting, antiquing, local history, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Rushford Lutheran Church as well as the church men's club and dart club.
Mr. Humble is survived by his son{, Cortland Humble of Rushford}; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and by his extended family at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and two sisters: Minerva Heiden and Eleanor Dammen.
A memorial service was Mar. 23, at Rushford Lutheran Church. Rev. Roger Michaelson officiated. Burial of his cremated body will be in the Rushford Lutheran Cemetery at a later date. [3]
