- Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Sat., June 21, for Jesse Nowick, 28, Madison, who died on June 17, 2014. the Rev. John Barcanic will officiate in West Center Baptist Church at Madison, and burial will be in Tabor Lutheran Cemetery at Strandburg.
The family will be present at 7 p.m. Friday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel.
Nowick was born on Nov. 6, 1985, at Rapid City to Wayne and Susan Nowick. He lived in Keystone until his family moved to Milbank in 1997. He graduated from Milbank High School in 2004 and then from Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls with a degree in diesel mechanics. He lived in Sioux Falls before moving to Madison in 2009, where he worked at Lake County International. He married{ Jennifer} Berndt on Sept. 10, 2011, at Madison.
He was a member of Lake County Search & Rescue.
Survivors include his wife{, Jennifer} of Madison; a son{, Mason} at home; his parents{, Wayne and Susan Nowick of Twin Brooks}; two brothers{, Justin of Ashland City, Tenn., and Marcus of Sioux Falls}; a sister Swaney of Madison}; and his grandmother{, Marjorie Nowick of Stockholm}. [2]
