  Notes	Served three years in Norwegian army during the war against Prussia. Came to America in 1848; settled in Skoponong Settlement, Walworth County, WI. Settled in Highland Prairie in 1854. Settled on Section 15 and 16 in Norway Township. First postmaster in Norway Township. One of the first supervisors of the township when it also embraced Holt under the name of Douglas.
