- Adolph Shimon, age 86, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, formerly of 305 Crystal Spring Road, Two Rivers, died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2005, at St. Mary's Home.
He was born July 7, 1918, in the town of Franklin, Manitowoc County, son of the late Adolph and Barbara Shimon. On June 7, 1945, he married the former Irene L. Holschbach at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Adolph was employed at Medusa Cement Company for many years.
{Survivors include his wife: Irene Shimon, Two Rivers; four sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Kathy Shimon, Two Rivers; James and Debra Shimon, Houston, Minn.; Lawrence and Suzanne Shimon, Manitowoc; Thomas Shimon, Friday Harbor, Wash., and his friend, Russ Jaffe; two grandchildren: Lori Kruger, Houston, Minn.; Jared Shimon, Houston, Minn.; three great-grandchildren: Benjamin Kruger, Annika Kruger, Chayton Shimon; four brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Cecelia Shimon, Manitowoc; Joseph Shimon, Manitowoc; Bernard and Grace Shimon, Branch; Melvin and Delores Shimon, Cato; and a sister: Olive Fischer, Manitowoc. Also surviving are brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by five sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.}
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, until the time of service at 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, 2005, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Ken Coenen with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc. [1]
