      Funeral services for Frederick Wesley Marshall, 81, Stockbridge Valley dairy farmer, who died Monday in Oneida City Hospital where he had been a patient since suffering a heart attach nine days ago, will be held at his home at 2 P.M. Thursday. The Rev. Johnson A. Springstead, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, Oneida, will officiate and burial will be in Stockbridge Cemetery. Mr. Marshall was one of the prominent men in the Stockbridge Valley. He first became a director of Oneida Valley National Bank in 1919 and was elected a vice president in January 1038. He was a director 28 years and an officer eight years. He had ben a supervisor of the Town of Stockbridge for three years and had served as president of the Stockbridge Valley Central School Board of Education for nine years. He was a director of Madison County Soil Conservation Committee. Father and one son, Frederic G. Marshall, managed the homestead on East rd. Another son, Otis P. Marshall, is a director of Oneida Valley National Bank. Born April 17, 1865, in Town of Stockbridge, a son of James and Suzanna Tackabury Marshall, he passed his entire life in the valley. He married Ada Marella Pottter on Jan. 8, 1889. Surviving besides his wife and the two sons are another son, Frank J. Marshall; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth M., Ada May, Johanna F., Zoe Mary, Frederick W., James, Frank J., and Thomas L. Marshall, all of the town of Stockbridge [3, 6, 7, 8, 9]
