    Notes
    • KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Enid M. Christensen, 78, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Maxwell and North Platte, died Dec. 16, 2003, after a year long battle with leukemia. She was born Aug. 10, 1925, to William Lloyd and Jessie M. Littrell Roberts at Maxwell. She attended and graduated from Maxwell Public School in 1943. She taught for a year at O'Fallon School before she married Richard Christensen on Oct. 1, 1945. They resided in Maxwell until 1985, when they retired and moved to Kansas City, Mo. Richard preceded her in death in March 1998. Mrs. Christensen was a member of the Avondale Baptist Church in Kansas City, Mo., and taught Sunday school for 15 years there. She was an active member of the Prime Timers and served as a program director. She was also a Sunday school teacher at the Berean Church in North Platte, for many years. One of life's blessings was that she was able to see each of her children and grandchildren accept Jesus as their personal Savior. She was a 4-H leader for Busy Bees Club. She traveled to see her children in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arizona regularly. She enjoyed attending her grandchildren's activities. She always celebrated their accomplishments in academics and sports. She enjoyed stitchery and had made each grandchild a special baby blanket to be cherished and used for her great-grandchildren now and to come. Survivors include four daughters; five sons; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was also a grandmother to 17 foster children. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Berean Church with the Rev. Tom Walker officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery. [2]
