      Goldie (Briggs) Stewart, 87, of 42 Jackson St., North Adams died Sunday at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was the widow of Harvey M. Stewart, who died Jan. 12, 1981. Born in Adams, Aug. 31, 1895, she was a daughter of Stephen and Sarah (Herman) Briggs. She attended schools in the area. She lived in North Adams for the past 60 years. Mrs. Stewart was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, the Unitah Rebecca Lodge and Naomi Chapter 17 Order of the Eastern Star. She leaves two sisters-in-law, ; nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the spring in HIllside Cemetery, North Adams. [1, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10]
