    • Adolph B. Olson, 83, of Baraga, died early Friday morning at the Winkler Nursing Home in L'Anse. He was born November 3, 1896, in Gary, SD. He was employed as a carpenter for most of his life. He had lived in Baraga for the past two years, prior to that he had lived in Phoenix, AZ, for 35 years. He was the former owner and operator of the Baraga Theatre in the 1930's. His wife, Jo, and a daughter, Mrs. Cyril (Helen) Bergerson preceded him in death. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (JoAnn) Penner of Boise, ID, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Olson will be held Monday at 10 at the Sirard Funeral Home with the Rev. Fr. John Hascall officiating. Burial was in the Baraga Cemetery.

      Adolph B. Olson, 83. of Baraga, died early today at the Winkler Nursing Home in L'Anse. The Sirard Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.

    • Adolph did carpenter work with France. He went to Niagara, , Wisconsinand that's where he met Bessie. Bessie had a restaurant and , he workedin the paper mill and also ran a taxi. They bought a farm , after 1929and then sold the farm and Adolph put on movie shows in , C.C. Camps inBaraga, Michigan on Saturdays and Sundays. Then he went , to showingthe 35mm movies in the Baraga Theater until that building , was closedby the fire marshal as a fire hazard. He also used to go , to the "poorfarm" about once a month and give them free shows with , the pictures., , In 1938 he built the horseshoe bar that graced the halls of , theGrandville Bar in Baraga. He also liked to build miniature , chapelsfor people to use as decorations and centerpieces. When the , BaragaTheater was closed, Adolph went to work for the Hilliard , Sawmill andthen for the Weldman Sawmill in Bergland, Michigan., , When the war started they went to Chicago where he worked in the , warfactories. He worked for Buick
