      Age 69, died at Leominster, MA, gained national fame nearly 30 years ago by using a football bladder to save a man's life from a gunshot wound. Attended Dartmouth college and Dartmouth medical school. Served as an interne in the Laconia NH hospital and started medical practice in Readsboro, VT. Served as head of the Leominster tuberculosis clinic for many years. During the first World War he entered the service as a first lieutenant and was honorably discharged in 1919. Dr. Shultis, who was unmarried, leaves several cousins in No. Adams, including Henry and Benjamin Montgomery, Mrs. George Chase, Miss Louise Pratt and the Misses Emma and Jessie Mae James
