      David Dauchy, the father of Charles H., was born in Ridgefield, Fairfield county, Conn., and was a builder and contractor by trade. For a time he followed his calling in Westchester county, N.Y., later removing to Fillmore county, Minn., where his death occurred at the age of eighty-nine years.

      David Dauchey an old gentleman of 89 years was found dead in his bed at his home in Canton last Sunday morning. Deceased was one of the pioneers of this section, having been a resident of Fillmore county for forty-five years. The funeral services were held at the Lenora church Monday afternoon Rev. Seeds officiating.
