Roses in pink and white with swainsona and baby's-breath were
in the shower bouquet carried by Miss Dagny E. Mindrum, daughter of Otto C. Mindrum, 769 West King street, for her marriage to Max L. Olson, Conroy. Iowa, son of Herman Olson, Los Angeles, Calif., Sunday evening. Lighted candles in candelabra and gladioli decorated the Highland Prairie Lutheran church for the ceremony performed by the Rev. N. S. Magelssen at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Magelssen, organist, played the wedding music and Merlin Johnson, West Liberty, Iowa, brother-in-law of the bride, sang "At Dawning" and "I Love You Truly." The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Merlin Johnson, West Liberty, as matron of honor and Miss Anna Lou Olson, Conroy, Iowa, sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Audrey Overland, Winona, sister of the bride, as bridesmaids. Robert Olson, Marengo, Iowa, was his brother's best man. Groomsmen were Norman C. Mindrum, Lewiston, brother of the bride, and Kenneth P. Olson, Minneapolis. White satin made on tailored lines with a tiny Peter Pan collar and pin tucks extending from the bodice into the hipline of the skirt to suggest a bustle in back, was worn by the bride. The sleeves were long and fitted and the full skirt which extended in a train, was worn over a hoop. The bride's imported illusion veil was arranged in hat effect with ruffles around the crown. Her matron of honor wore coral colored taffeta with a matching veil arranged in hat effect. Miss Olson was in aqua taffeta and Miss Overland in yellow taffeta. Their veils also simulated hats, and matched their gowns. The attendants carried colonial bouquets in pastel colors. A wedding reception was held in the church parlors after the ceremony. Gladioli decorated the room and the wedding cake centered the bridal table. Guests included (he bridegroom's father, Mr. Olson, Los Angeles; Miss Winifred Engelbert, Conroy; Mrs. Robert Olson, Russell Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Louis Olson, Marengo; Miss Winifred Olson, Iowa City, Iowa, and Mrs. Kenneth Olson, Minneapolis. When the couple left on a two week trip to Yellowstone National park, the bride wore an aqua linen suit and brown and white accessories. She attended Rushford High school and Winona State Teachers college, and has been teaching at the Blairstown, Iowa, High school. Mr. Olson attended Conroy High school, and served for three years as a lieutenant in the Army Air Corps. He is now attending the University of Iowa. Mrs. William Meyer, Winona, and Miss Eileen Dahl, Peterson, entertained at parties for the bride-elect. The wedding rehearsal was held at the church Saturday evening.
